Chopra excited about awards event
Vidhu Vinod Chopra has said that he likes attending the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards.
The producer, whose film 3 Idiots has been nominated for 14 gongs at this year's ceremony, claimed that the IIFA event gives everyone in Bollywood the chance to socialise together.
"I really appreciate IIFA because it is when the whole film fraternity gets together," Chopra told Real Bollywood.
"At the IIFA Weekend, the whole film fraternity gets together and there is a feeling of togetherness. It's not something like you just go and pick your award and come back."
3 Idiots was directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starred Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor.
This year’s IIFA awards take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from June 3 to 5.
