Salman won't perform at IIFA '09

Speculations were rife about Salman Khan performing at the IIFA awards 2009 in Macao. But the latest Juicy Mausi heard of is the actor cancelling the performance at the last moment.

Salman was supposed to dance on a track from Boney Kapoor's forthcoming film Wanted.

The film was earlier scheduled to release on July 3 but due to the ongoing tussle between the producers and the multiplex owners, the release date been postponed now.

If one remembers, Salman was not invited at the IIFA last year for obvious reasons (wink wink). It really came as a surprise when he agreed to join the tour this time.

Salman is a big crowd puller overseas and his performance at the IIFA would have made the show a huge hit.

Last year Vivek Oberoi performed at the IIFA for the promotion of Mission Istanbul. Usually a film is promoted a few days before the release of the film and since the release date of Wanted is yet to be finalised, Salman's chances of performing are actually nil.
