The first Khan to skip this year's IIFA awards

Imran Khan has decided that he will not be attending this year’s IIFA awards, to be held in June in Macau, China.

But in case you think he’s behaving like his uncle Aamir, the young actor has said he is not against any award functions.

So why the refusal?

According to sources, along with Imran, even Farhan Akhtar has been nominated in the best debutant actor category for his film “Rock On”. This hasn’t gone well with Imran, who has already shared the trophy in this category with Farhan at the Filmfare Awards in February.

Imran is said to be not wanting to share the honours yet again and sensing that it is likely to happen, he has decided to play safe and stay away.

Imran has already called the organisers and told them he is not free during that period and will hence be absent at the function.
