Hrithik Roshan’s dad: Hailing Money in Sri Lanka!

So what if the flick ‘Kites’ had to bite the dust in many a places, and so what if the screening of the flick could not take place as scheduled in Colombo, Sri Lanka ? This has not deterred the spirits of the Roshans at all.

The most amazing part of the dark days for the Roshan family was that it did have its silver lining drawn well and strong. Well, this is in accordance to the fact that Rakesh Roshan, Hrithik Roshan’s dad, the filmmaker of ‘Kites’ was in Colombo to attend the IIFA celebrations there from the 3-5 June.

Now, it so happened that Rakesh Roshan wanted to taste the sweetness of the money making magic in the casinos of the island nation. So, one night, he went off to the MGM nightclub in a place called Kollipitiya.

Most amazingly, the filmmaker stared minting money on the slot machine like it was hailing money for the B- town producer only. Reportedly, the producer earned about Rs. 98 lakh in Sri Lankan currency!

Everyone who was at the venue was quite amazed at the luck that the star producer had brought with him.

Rakesh Roshan was so much involved in the gaming glitz that he refused to leave the casino until the wee hours of the next morning. It was well past 4am.when he finally left with a big fat pocket!

Well, we wonder if the luck came from his movie, where the mafia gang leader, played Kabir Bedi is shown to be the owner of casinos in Las Vegas, or was it just a stroke of good luck after the bad luck shown to him by ‘Kites’.

Nevertheless, at the end of it all, it did hail money for Hrithik’s dad!
