Andre at Chinese Bollywood awards
Singer Peter Andre has made one of his first public appearances since his split with model Katie Price at the start of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards in Macau, China.
Andre is scheduled to perform at Friday's IIFA fashion show
The singer, who is performing at the three-day Bollywood extravaganza, was welcomed by singing gondoliers, cheering fans and members of the media.
"'I can't believe how beautiful this place is," gushed Andre, who said he was happy to be part of the event and is even ready to move into the world of Indian cinema.
"If they want me, let's talk baby," he joked as he arrived at the Venetian Macao Resort Hotel.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the IIFA awards, an event that attracts a worldwide audience of millions every year.
The Bollywood-themed weekend includes film and music launches, a celebrity fashion show, a global business forum and a performance by Cirque du Soleil.
The awards began in 2000 when the first ceremony was held in London at the Millennium Dome.
The event has since been held in Amsterdam, Dubai, Bangkok and Sheffield, with Macao hosting this year's festivities.
Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan has represented the awards since their inception and says it has been "a fantastic journey".
"Year after year we have been trying to build IIFA into more than just another awards ceremony coming out of India," he told reporters.
Each year the IIFA weekend hosts a celebrity charity event which is supported by the Indian film fraternity.
This year sees a celebrity fashion show featuring leading designers from India and China.
The event culminates on 13 June with the awards themselves, which this year features special honours for outstanding contribution by Indians in international cinema.
This year's recipients are actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan's daughter-in-law, and Slumdog Millionaire composer AR Rahman.
