STAR confirmed as IIFA Awards partner
Popular TV network, STAR, has been confirmed as the exclusive broadcaster for the prestigious 2009 International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) for the fifth year running.
This year, the event is due to be held in Macau, China between 11th - 13th June.
The special activities surrounding the ceremony will see STAR Plus feature a special programmes every weekend in June including 'Golden Decade of Indian Cinema', which looks back at ten years of IIFA Awards.
'IIFA Weekend', which features Bollywood celebrities enjoying the sights and sounds of Macau.
'IIFA Curtain Raiser', which gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the rehearsals.
Finally, viewers will be treated to the environmentally friendly 'Green Carpet' show and most importantly, the exclusive worldwide premiere of the IIFA Awards 2009.
